Just for fun, I'm going to add some of the photos that I've taken with my camera over the last few days. Please note that all of these are SOOC (straight out of camera). Absolutely no editing took place in the making of these photos. It's all a matter of playing with camera settings and focusing.
Pictures 3 and 4 were taken while using some of the other camera settings and playing with the zoom. As you can tell, all were taken without the flash. Look at the detail in the fur! I'm so amazed by it.
Later in the evening I took these pictures of my clock, just for fun. The first is with the flash and the second without. The first makes it look like my apartment is a very sterile bluish-white tint. It's actually more of an industrial beige color (think college dorm brick walls). The yellowish lighting in the room helps to highlight that color. If I remember correctly, there was also some zooming in while taking these pictures. It highlights the definite limitations of the particular lens that I have when it comes to zooming capabilities. I'll have to get a different lens in the future to take care of any zooming.
I'm still very excited about my camera, and I hope to stay that way for a long time. A while back I met a girl who give occasional "how to use my DSLR" classes. She's offering one in mid-March. I think I'm going to take it. Fun!
Ohhh, you'll have to share everything you learn in the class with me! I want to know how to use other settings than automatic!
