Snow leopard. He totally had the right idea with the napping in the sun.
Tiger.
Tiger close up! This picture was taken from behind a plexiglass window (some distortion in many pictures is because of this, also some of those windows were pretty dirty from people putting their hands on them and the animals putting their faces on them).
Rhino
Lion
Mealtime for the leopard
Two adults and one baby elephant. I have pictures that clearly shows that there are three elephants, but the baby is in the shadows in those so I decided to use this one.
Giraffe. The sun is behind him in this picture, which is why he is so dark.
Time for dinner!
Lemurs (2) before one went totally batty on the other.
It's Rafiki meditating! Come on. You know that's what you thought too. Don't judge.
Gorilla
Turtle
Penguins! (Penguins are not scary because they cannot fly at your face. They're just cute. Watch the penguin movie if you don't believe me. That's church.)
Cute swimming penguin! (This was totally our collective favorite part.)
Octopus. It was gigantic. This is under black light.
Seahorse
Nemo! Dude insisted that I get a good picture of Nemo. Then a kid came up from behind us and went "Look, Dad! Nemo!!!!" I was so proud.
Polar bear
Sea otter
I want one. Dude said I couldn't have one because it would require a larger tank than he's willing for us to invest in. I think he's just a party pooper.
Shark! There's a tunnel under a portion of the aquarium that you can walk through and see some of the exhibits overhead.
Seal show!
Hand shaking. That's a baby seal in the water.
There were obviously many, many more animals than these. And I took over two hundred photos while there. You guys are just getting to see the highlights. (Aren't you glad!) I had fun, and I would like to go back again. We didn't make it into one last area because the zoo closed. Sadness. Maybe we can go back this summer with a better zooming lens and after I get a little better grasp on using this camera! I'm just glad that I'm getting a lot of use out of it these days. My first SD card is almost full, and it's supposed to be able to hold around 1000 photos. I'm going to have to start clearing it!
the penguins are my favorite, but the sea horse is a close second!
ReplyDeleteYou would have loved them. There were tons! Jack would have loved it. I want to kidnap Travis and bring him up here so we can do things like this.
